About me

How I work. What I have learned. What inspires me.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
Rumi

Empathic connection and respect for your experience form the essential basis of my work. I want to give you a sense of safety, both within the session and in the contact with me.

I would like to support you in feeling more secure and more authentic with, and inside, yourself. I offer you space, my time and my clear presence so you can, at your own pace, take the steps you could not dare take before.

Maybe you could not dare take them because you had to adapt to an environment in which there was no support for you. Or you had to acquire habits and behavior which were useful in the past but today do not make sense anymore. Whatever the reasons, our “inner knowing” wants us to make it through life successfully by revising, or getting ready to revise, old habitual patterns and learning new behaviors.

However, to leave behind old attitudes, ways of thinking, self-images and behavior patterns is hardly, if at all, possible alone. A trusting and solid therapeutic relationship provides the sound ground from which you can look step-by-step at past experience and its resulting thoughts, self-images and values, then try out new and healthier self-images.

The body is the shore on the ocean of being.
A Sufi saying

Because memories, knowledge and the potential for change are stored in the body, and because speaking is often not enough, I include perception of the body and impulses coming from inside the body. Most often this results in access to your very own being, to unknown / unexpected / unimagined resources of authentic identity, confidence, self-regulation and strength.
